By default, checkout will perform a recursive directory traversal. To restrict it to operate only on the directory you specify, use the -l option. Note though that CVS of course works by subdirectories and knows nothing about some of them being subpackages. Therefore, if the package has subdirectories other than subpackages, you will have to follow the first command with others that check out the normal subdirectories.[1] Again, it is usually best not to construct such hierarchies in the first place. At any rate, here is an example how one would check out package structures B/C and E from our earlier scenario. We assume that the subdirectories B contains are all subpackages.]]></description>
