Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Feb. 22 said that glyphosate is poisonous but necessary as he backed President Donald Trump’s recent order designating the production of the herbicide as critical to national security.

In a lengthy post on social media, Kennedy said that pesticides and herbicides are toxic.

“When we apply them across millions of acres and allow them into our food system, we put Americans at risk. Chemical manufacturers have paid tens of billions of dollars to settle cancer claims linked to their products, and many agricultural communities report elevated cancer rates and chronic disease,” he wrote. “Unfortunately, our agricultural system depends heavily on these chemicals.”

If the United States stopped using the products, then “crop yields would fall, food prices would surge, and America would experience a massive loss of farms even beyond what we are witnessing today,” Kennedy said.

The health secretary described Trump’s order as protecting national defense and the nation’s food supply, stating that Trump inherited the current agricultural system and that his administration is shifting from it without destabilizing the food supply.

“We are accelerating the transition to regenerative agriculture by expanding farming systems that rebuild soil, increase biodiversity, improve water retention, and reduce reliance on synthetic chemicals, including pre-harvest desiccation. We are also driving the rapid adoption of next-generation technologies, including laser-guided weed control, electrothermal and electrical systems, robotics, precision mechanical cultivation, and biological controls that replace blanket spraying with precision intervention,” Kennedy wrote.

China is quietly replacing much of the world’s lost forests. In one of the greatest environmental turnarounds in history, China has added more than 500,000 km² of forest since 1990. In 2022 it pledged to plant, conserve, restore, and manage 70 billion trees by 2032—a cornerstone of the global ‘1 Trillion Trees’ initiative to supercharge carbon sinks and biodiversity.

In 2024 alone:
• 4.45 million hectares of new trees planted
• 3.22 million hectares of grassland restored
• 2.78 million hectares reclaimed from desert

That pushed national forest cover past 25% (up from ~12% in the 1980s) blasting past the 2025 target of 24.1% ahead of schedule. Cumulative restoration since 2012 now exceeds 70 million hectares.

Meanwhile, humanity has destroyed more than half the world’s original native forests—mostly for agriculture. Today’s forests still cover ~31% of global land (the vast Taiga being the biggest survivor) but the Amazon tells a far darker story: 17–26 % already gone. Brazilian deforestation is up 27 % in 2025 so far, much of it arson-driven.

China’s ‘I Plant a Tree for the Climate’ campaign, run by the China Green Foundation, shows how top-down ambition can meet grassroots action. While others talk, China plants. It’s a genuine game-changer for a greener planet—hats off.

The Antarctic continent has not warmed in the last seven decades, despite a monotonic increase in the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases. In this paper, we investigate whether the high orography of the Antarctic ice sheet (AIS) has helped delay warming over the continent. To that end, we contrast the Antarctic climate response to CO2-doubling with present-day orography to the response with a flattened AIS. To corroborate our findings, we perform this exercise with two different climate models. We find that, with a flattened AIS, CO2-doubling induces more latent heat transport toward the Antarctic continent, greater moisture convergence over the continent and, as a result, more surface-amplified condensational heating.

Greater moisture convergence over the continent is made possible by flattening of moist isentropic surfaces, which decreases humidity gradients along the trajectories on which extratropical poleward moisture transport predominantly occurs, thereby enabling more moisture to reach the pole. Furthermore, the polar meridional cell disappears when the AIS is flattened, permitting greater CO2-forced warm temperature advection toward the Antarctic continent. Our results suggest that the high elevation of the present AIS plays a significant role in decreasing the susceptibility of the Antarctic continent to CO2-forced warming.

In September 2021, we learned that out of the 21 Hydropower dam licenses that expired this January 2020, 12 of those dams will be demolished. These demolitions must be paid by the owner of the dam, as enforced by the Spanish legislation.

However, since January 2020, the announcement of these 12 demolitions have created social opposition in some areas, and there are some cases where the expiration procedure hasn’t started (this process needed to be open in order to start the demolition project preparations).

More good news! 12 years after a report was released from WWF Spain pushing for the removal of 20 dams, one of those dams was recently announced to be removed! The Pikoaga Dam, located in the Basque Country, will be removed next year. You can find the complete dam removal project, plans and pictures in this link (in Spanish and Basque languages).

Oxitec genetically engineered the males to carry a "genetic kill switch," such that when they mate with wild female mosquitoes, their offspring inherits the lethal gene and cannot survive or reproduce in the wild.

In the U.S., Oxitec is marketing the insects as Oxitec Friendly™ mosquitoes, trying to put a nonthreatening name on a reckless project that could quickly backfire. It may even be too late, as the GE mosquitoes have already been released in multiple locations.

Speaking directly to the gathered dignitaries and business leaders, Trump wasted no time in calling out the forum’s progressive agenda, offering a reprimand of policies he described as “ridiculous” and “wasteful.” During his speech, Trump highlighted his administration’s past efforts to roll back excessive climate regulations and reaffirmed his commitment to policies that prioritize economic freedom over globalist initiatives.

Trump also stressed the need for increased defense spending from NATO allies and discussed the challenges posed by steep U.S. tariffs and ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Additionally, he expressed his desire to reduce global oil prices, interest rates, and taxes and cautioned business leaders about potential tariffs on products manufactured overseas.

“I terminated the ridiculous and incredibly wasteful Green New Deal. I call it the Green New Scam,” Trump said to world leaders Thursday. “[I] withdrew from the one-sided Paris Climate Accord and ended the insane and costly electric vehicle mandate. We’re going to let people buy the car they want to buy.”

President-elect Donald Trump has vowed to issue a day-one executive order to restore federal approvals for the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline, similar to his January 2017 directive overturning the Obama administration’s 2015 rejection of the same project.

Trump’s first-term Keystone restoration was reversed by President Joe Biden in a January 2021 executive order, again halting development of the 1,180-mile pipeline between Alberta, Canada, and Steele City, Nebraska.

While Trump 2.0 could nullify Biden’s directive in a pen stroke on Jan. 20, 2025, he won’t be able to resurrect Keystone XL because the project no longer exists.

“My understanding is the company has pulled the steel out of the ground and shipped it elsewhere and found alternative routes to get its product to market,” said Brett Hartl, government affairs director for the Center for Biological Diversity.

“That would make it hard for Trump to approve an application that doesn’t exist,” he told The Epoch Times.

This has also created a massive wave of sickness across the nation over the past several decades, including cancer and dementia. Especially with these GMO crops, genetically engineered to resist dying from chemicals like glyphosate, that are highly toxic to humans and can decimate cleansing organs like the liver, pancreas, and kidneys.

The whole agricultural complex needs a massive makeover, where crops are no longer adulterated with chemicals and toxins that cause disease, disorder and death. The breaking news that Joel F. Salatin has been appointed by President Trump to be the Advisor to the Secretary of the USDA has sparked a wave of excitement and anticipation among Americans who are passionate about clean food, healthy soil, and sustainable farming practices.

Joel Salatin, a renowned American farmer, lecturer, and author, is no stranger to the spotlight.

Today Center for Food Safety (CFS) and allied plaintiffs filed a new federal lawsuit challenging the 2020 decision by the Trump administration's Department of Agriculture's (USDA) to eliminate most genetically engineered (GE) organism oversight, including future GE crops, trees, and grasses. Previously nearly all GE plants had to go through formal USDA approval before open air experiments or prior to commercial use.

The new Trump USDA regulations exempt broad categories of GE organisms from any pre-market approval and pass any assessment duties to the biotech/pesticide companies to "self-determine" whether their products are exempt or regulated. As explained in the 90-page complaint, the rule change violated numerous core environmental laws, including the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act, and the Plant Protection Act. It also unconstitutionally delegated USDA's statutory responsibilities to self-interested industry.

"The Trump administration broke the law in multiple ways when it handed the car keys to pesticide companies on the future products they develop, regardless of the consequences," said George Kimbrell, legal director for Center for Food Safety and counsel in the case. "The rules unlawfully eviscerate and abandon USDA's responsibility to protect farmers and the environment."

USDA has repeatedly acknowledged the need for stronger GE crop regulations since 2000, when Congress enacted the Plant Protection Act which gave the agency broad new authority to prevent agricultural, economic, and environmental harms. Now in commercial production for several decades, GE crop systems are known to cause several significant agricultural and environmental harms, among them organic and conventional crop contamination from GE crops and market closures, significantly increased pesticide use, and pesticide-resistant "superweeds." After several false starts to implement its new powers beginning in 2004, the USDA under the Trump administration reversed course and instead dramatically weakened its oversight of GE organisms.

In the meantime, GE crops ranging from rice to alfalfa to corn and many in between have caused farmers billions of dollars in market losses from transgenic contamination of conventional or organic crops, as food companies and foreign markets reject tainted supplies.

Keynote speaker and Massachusetts Institute of Technology meteorologist Richard Lindzen told the gathering that “there is no substantive basis for predictions of sizeable global warming due to observed increases in minor greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and chlorofluorocarbons.”

Most skeptics attribute global warming—few if any doubt any longer that the warming itself is occurring, given the worldwide rise in surface temperature—to natural cycles, not emissions from power plants, automobiles and other human activity. “The observational evidence…suggests that any warming from the growth of greenhouse gases is likely to be minor, difficult to detect above the natural fluctuations of the climate, and therefore inconsequential,” says atmospheric physicist Fred Singer, an outspoken global warming skeptic and founder of the advocacy-oriented Science and Environmental Policy Project.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a captive of the global warming religion. Its data are fraudulent.

What do we mean by fraudulent? How about this: NOAA has made repeated "adjustments" to its data, for the presumed scientific reason of making the data sets more accurate.

Nothing wrong with that. Except, all their changes point to one thing — lowering previously measured temperatures to show cooler weather in the past, and raising more recent temperatures to show warming in the recent present.

This creates a data illusion of ever-rising temperatures to match the increase in CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere since the mid-1800s, which global warming advocates say is a cause-and-effect relationship. The more CO2, the more warming.

Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Alexander von Humboldt (14 September 1769 – 6 May 1859) was a German polymath, geographer, naturalist, explorer, and proponent of Romantic philosophy and science.[2] He was the younger brother of the Prussian minister, philosopher, and linguist Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767–1835).[3][4][5] Humboldt's quantitative work on botanical geography laid the foundation for the field of biogeography, while his advocacy of long-term systematic geophysical measurement pioneered modern geomagnetic and meteorological monitoring.[6][7]
Between 1799 and 1804, Humboldt travelled extensively in the Americas, exploring and describing them for the first time from a non-Spanish European scientific point of view. His description of the journey was written up and published in several volumes over 21 years. Humboldt was one of the first people to propose that the lands bordering the Atlantic Ocean were once joined (South America and Africa in particular).
Humboldt resurrected the use of the word cosmos from the ancient Greek and assigned it to his multivolume treatise, Kosmos, in which he sought to unify diverse branches of scientific knowledge and culture. This important work also motivated a holistic perception of the universe as one interacting entity,[8] which introduced concepts of ecology leading to ideas of environmentalism. In 1800, and again in 1831, he described scientifically, on the basis of observations generated during his travels, local impacts of development causing human-induced climate change.[9][10][11]
Humboldt is seen as "the father of ecology" and "the father of environmentalism".[12][13]

Almost all spent solar panels in the United States end up in landfills, and many first- and second-generation panels are already tapping out, well ahead of their anticipated 30-year lifespan.

Added to that will be an estimated 9.8 million metric tons of dead panels to deal with between 2030 and 2060, according to a study published in Science Direct.
Tossing a solar panel into a U.S. landfill currently costs about $1, maybe $2. To recycle that same panel, the cost balloons to $20 to $30, according to an estimate reported by PV Magazine.
Wind turbine parts present a similar challenge, with thousands of blades having already found their way into dumps and fields in Texas, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Iowa.

The year 2023 is already expected to be the hottest on record, following a record-hot summer. But despite this, the U.S. is expected to reach record numbers in fossil fuel production for the year.

Liquified natural gas exports from North America are expected to double through 2027, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) recently reported. Most of the liquified natural gas projects under construction in North America are in the U.S., particularly concentrated in the Gulf of Mexico, where a major oil spill with over 1 million barrels of crude oil was recently discovered.

The latest short-term energy outlook from EIA forecasted that for 2023, crude oil production in the U.S. will reach 12.9 million barrels per day, up from 11.27 million barrels per day in 2021 and 11.91 million barrels per day in 2022. Further, the administration estimated that in 2024, U.S. crude oil production will reach 13.15 million barrels daily.

Overall, U.S. officials predict that oil and gas production will likely continue reaching near-record levels year after year to 2050, The Guardian reported.

“It’s particularly alarming to see the projections of record U.S. oil and gas production year after year until 2050,” Michael Lazarus, a senior scientist at Stockholm Environment Institute, told The Guardian. “The U.S. is locking in production for years that makes it hard to meet climate goals. It’s out of sync and it needs reckoning.”

The much-touted green revolution is looking more like a red alert as the sector hemorrhages tens of billions in market value.

Sure, we’re told that hundreds of billions is still pouring into renewable energy projects, despite the fact that the stock market seems to have declared a resounding “no thanks” to these ventures. The iShares Global Clean Energy ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund), the poster child for the industry, has nosedived by over 30% this year and a whopping 50% since the dawn of 2021.

Not to be outdone, specific sectors are getting their fair share of punishment. The Invesco Solar ETF is down over 40% in 2023, while the First Trust Global Wind Energy ETF is witnessing losses of about 20% this year and a grim 40% since January 2021. It seems the wind has been knocked out of their sails.

Blame it on rising interest rates, the industry’s newfound nemesis. These higher rates have not only increased costs but also put a damper on consumer enthusiasm, leading to a nosedive in stock valuations for companies that once promised a green utopia but are now struggling to turn a profit.

History teaches us that some ancient civilisations killed their children to change the weather. They used to practice child sacrifice to appease their gods in an attempt to court their good graces. Those primitive peoples believed that through human sacrifice, the forces of nature could be coerced in their favour. For example, one of the ways the Aztecs honoured their gods was by killing people in a field with arrows so that their blood might fertilise the land.

The modern environmentalist movement is often compared to a religion. It certainly thinks that humans can change the weather, and it includes a vision of sin and repentance – damnation and salvation. Above and beyond the presence of actual neo-pagans and Gaia worshippers in its ranks, the environmentalist movement itself is displaying characteristics of a nature-worshipping cult – and a remarkably anti-human one at that. Many of its supporters effectively believe that the world has a cancer, and that cancer is called the human race.

The Just Stop Oil movement provides a compelling example of how modern environmentalism has become a primitive and barbaric religion by any other name. In October 2022, iconoclastic activists targeted Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers (1888) in the National Gallery, London, for a “climate emergency” protest. By damaging works of art in museums, blocking roads, stopping play at sports matches and more, these eco-fascists reveal an environmentalism not only endowed with apocalyptic overtones but also with an intent on making life miserable for fellow humans and destroying some of the finest examples of historic human achievement.

It all began so beautifully, with the ruler of Dubai photographed planting the first tree of his ambitious environmental initiative, as smiling officials applauded around him.

In 2010, the One Million Trees initiative was announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai. The aim of the launch was to increase green areas in Dubai through afforestation, while contributing to overall beautification of the city.

The plan was to establish a nursery for the young trees on land contributed by the Dubai Police Academy, to allow them to grow to maturity before sending them out across the emirate. A company called Green Land partnered with a government-backed environmental organisation on the project to develop the tree nursery and began planting the trees.

French President Emmanuel Macron, for example, on Sept. 25 backed away from imposing a decree to ban gas boilers, stating that while he will continue to push France toward its net-zero goals, "we cannot leave our compatriots, particularly in the most rural areas, without a solution.”

This came just days after British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said he would delay a ban on internal combustion-engine cars and gas boilers, stating that these net zero climate goals imposed “unacceptable costs” on British families.

In July 2022, Germany restarted coal plants, which had been idled as part of the country’s decades-long Energiewende (energy transition), following an embargo of Russian natural gas. This week, the German government suspended new climate-related building efficiency rules that were to go into effect in 2025, at a time when the country’s citizens face a housing shortage.

German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck said that existing laws already mandated energy efficiency in buildings; regarding additional tightening, he said, “it can wait.”

eBay “sold, offered for sale or caused the sale” of more than 340,000 so-called aftermarket defeat devices, car and truck accessories made to disable the emissions controls required by US law in order to increase fuel economy, according to the suit. The platform also allegedly permitted the sale and purchase of more than 23,000 wrongly-labeled or restricted pesticide items and unspecified bogus Covid-19 cures in violation of previous stop sale orders in 2020 and 2021.

The auction site also stands accused of allowing the sale of over 5,600 items containing methylene chloride for the removal of paint and coatings, one of 52 purposes for which the chemical was declared off-limits last year by the EPA due to severe health risks including cancer, neurotoxicity, and death.

“This is very bad news,” Peskov explained during a press conference on Thursday, noting that the use of such munitions in Yugoslavia in the past has led to “galloping” increases in the number of people suffering from cancer and other diseases, which has been confirmed by international organizations.

“The consequences become noticeable in subsequent generations,” the spokesperson stated, adding that “the same situation will inevitably occur in Ukrainian territories where [DU munitions] will be used.”

On August 24, the discharge of radioactive water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant into the Pacific Ocean began and there has been a metric ton of self-referential misinformation spread online that plays on people’s inability to read dense scientific reports and their fear of the nuclear industry.

While most of the people with strong opinions on the matter essentially have one argument, that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is party to a Japanese government conspiracy, and cannot be reasoned with as such, perhaps some folks may benefit from some good-faith discussion.

For starters, it should be noted that the contents of the water being discharged are virtually the same as regular nuclear wastewater. This fact has been muddled and people are sharing a crude MS Paint diagram to show the difference between normal nuclear waste water and contaminated water from Fukushima. What this diagram misses primarily is that the water is not going as-is directly into the ocean but instead being treated through a process called Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS) and diluted thereafter.

Without getting into the specifics, ALPS essentially helps to take out the heavier radioactive elements from the water after treatment and pure seawater dilution. That process was largely successful but mostly left tritium, which could not be removed via ALPS and needs further dilution. Many people are upset that the current testing is only looking for tritium. They claim that the IAEA should be looking for more. The reason the IAEA is not is because the ALPS process was already verified as successful.

Even though the amount of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere has been going up all over the world, average temperatures in the Antarctic have not gone up in the last 70 years. In fact, 2021 was the coldest 6-month winter since records began in 1957.

Scientists are trying to figure out why Antarctica hasn’t warmed recently and almost certainly much longer. The unproven idea that the carbon dioxide humans put in the air is the main cause of climate change is weakened by the fact that a large part of Earth is not getting warmer.

The global warming theory states that both poles should be getting warmer. Not just one.

Because climate science is “settled,” the important debate about the inconvenient Antarctica data has to happen far away from the prying eyes of the mainstream media. Promoting the Net Zero political agenda, The Guardian and The Hill made its readers even more worried by saying that “unimaginable amounts of water will flow into oceans” if temperatures in the region rise and ice buffers melt. But it isn’t getting warmer.

Justin Rowlatt, who is in charge of the BBC’s environmental work, flew over parts of the area and saw “an epic vision of broken ice.” He said that Antarctica is “where climate change is happening first.”

Most people don’t pay attention to the fact that the South Pole had its coldest six-month winter since records began in 1957. After that story did make the press, Reuters “fact checked” what people were saying about the event on social media. It was said that “six months is not enough time to confirm a climate trend.”

And the 70 years of no warming is covered up. Almost no one knows this because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

Can the 2022 Kunming-Montréal Global Biodiversity Framework be a watershed moment in international environmental law, finally delivering strong guidance to avert a global crisis of biodiversity? Can soft international law have the power to affect fundamental changes in the way biodiversity conservation currently takes place? Is this hinged upon how successful international diplomacy is in stimulating re-direction and scaling up of financial resources? As always, the answer depends on the quality implementation, with standards of quality set collaboratively at the international level. This piece primarily unpacks the flagship 30×30 target and highlights the significance of the delivery of funding under Target 19. It also lays out some of the other pertinent provisions in the recently adopted treaty, heralded by the international community as the “Paris Agreement” for Nature.

Rampant human activities and land development have caused widespread habitat loss and degradation in the country, with experts warning that this continued rate of biodiversity loss will lead to an irreversible ecological meltdown and crisis, threatening the future of global food security. To date, at least a quarter of native mammals in Britain are at risk of extinction and more species will likely follow as humanity continues to degrade the environment and as the planet warms. These are just some of the most notable endangered species in the UK that are in dire need of protection.

If it were a nation state, it would be the 47th largest emitter in the world. Their negligence, nuclear testing and disregard for human life has come at a huge environmental cost, and reform needs to be taken into consideration to protect our planet.

The US military recently released a report analysing the Department of Defense’s climate risk. The Pentagon thoughtfully acknowledged that rising temperatures are “reshaping” the world with “more frequent, intense, and unpredictable extreme weather conditions caused by climate change”, but they failed to analyse the Defense Department’s own contributions to climate change.

This came as a surprise, as ample evidence has been published before the report detailing how dangerous the US military’s climate change contributions are. In 2019, a report released by Durham and Lancaster University found the US military to be “one of the largest climate polluters in history, consuming more liquid fuels and emitting more CO2e (carbon-dioxide equivalent) than most countries”. It established that if the US military were a nation state, it would be the 47th largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the world. These figures were from taking into account the emissions from fuel usage alone.

It’s also beautiful, native to the Americas and begins to bloom in July. It’s the sunflower, and its ability to heal the environment has inspired one U.Va. undergraduate researcher to spend her summer examining the soil-absorbing properties of the stalky plant with the showy yellow flowerheads.

Rising fourth-year student Catie Kitrinos, a biology and anthropology major from Springfield is researching genetic variation in the sun-loving plant as part of her Harrison Undergraduate Research Award, with the aim of mapping the ability of the sunflower to absorb heavy metals across its genome.

The project has a huge relevancy and the potential to contribute better information about how best to use sunflowers, Kitrinos said. She noted that after both the Fukushima and Chernobyl nuclear incidents, sunflower fields were planted across the affected areas in an effort to absorb radiation, then were harvested and disposed of safely.

“[Sunflowers] are able to take heavy metals from contaminated soil in a way that’s completely natural and un-harmful to the soil and its surrounding ecosystems,” Kitrinos said. “They’re called ‘phytoremediators.’”

Since late December, a series of heavy storms called atmospheric rivers brought an estimated 32 trillion gallons of rainwater to the state, according to the FOX Forecast Center. U.S. Geological Survey data suggest this would be enough to supply the state’s agricultural, industrial, and residential needs for at least a decade—if it were stored in reservoirs.

However, around 95 percent of the rainwater in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, the hub of California’s water grid, was washed out to sea, according to the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

The political fiction that humans cause most or all climate change and the claim that the science behind this notion is ‘settled’, has been dealt a savage blow by the publication of a ‘World Climate Declaration (WCD)’ signed by over 1,100 scientists and professionals. There is no climate emergency, say the authors, who are drawn from across the world and led by the Norwegian physics Nobel Prize laureate Professor Ivar Giaever. Climate science is said to have degenerated into a discussion based on beliefs, not on sound self-critical science.

The scale of the opposition to modern day ‘settled’ climate science is remarkable, given how difficult it is in academia to raise grants for any climate research that departs from the political orthodoxy. (A full list of the signatories is available here.) Another lead author of the declaration, Professor Richard Lindzen, has called the current climate narrative “absurd”, but acknowledged that trillions of dollars and the relentless propaganda from grant-dependent academics and agenda-driven journalists currently says it is not absurd.

Particular ire in the WCD is reserved for climate models. To believe in the outcome of a climate model is to believe what the model makers have put in. Climate models are now central to today’s climate discussion and the scientists see this as a problem. “We should free ourselves from the naïve belief in immature climate models,” says the WCD. “In future, climate research must give significantly more emphasis to empirical science.”

The Federal Court says the initial Morrison government approval for works on the MMG dam was invalid. Bob Brown says those who have been arrested during past protests are "heroes" who should be compensated.

For more than 60 years, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has known that the changes occurring to planetary weather patterns are completely natural and normal. But the space agency, for whatever reason, has chosen to let the man-made global warming hoax persist and spread, to the detriment of human freedom.

It was the year 1958, to be precise, when NASA first observed that changes in the solar orbit of the earth, along with alterations to the earth's axial tilt, are both responsible for what climate scientists today have dubbed as "warming" (or "cooling," depending on their agenda). In no way, shape, or form are humans warming or cooling the planet by driving SUVs or eating beef, in other words.

But NASA has thus far failed to set the record straight, and has instead chosen to sit silently back and watch as liberals freak out about the world supposedly ending in 12 years because of too much livestock, or too many plastic straws.

In the year 2000, NASA did publish information on its Earth Observatory website about the Milankovitch Climate Theory, revealing that the planet is, in fact, changing due to extraneous factors that have absolutely nothing to do with human activity. But, again, this information has yet to go mainstream, some 19 years later, which is why deranged, climate-obsessed leftists have now begun to claim that we really only have 18 months left before the planet dies from an excess of carbon dioxide (CO2).

The truth, however, is much more along the lines of what Serbian astrophysicist Milutin Milankovitch, after whom the Milankovitch Climate Theory is named, proposed about how the seasonal and latitudinal variations of solar radiation that hit the earth in different ways, and at different times, have the greatest impact on earth's changing climate patterns.

What you have been told about the Amazon rainforest is not necessarily the truth, and quite to the contrary.

For example, World Wildlife Fund claims that more than a quarter of the Amazon rainforest will be devoid of trees by 2030 if cutting continues at the same speed. In reality, deforestation in the Amazon fell in May from the same month last year. According to environmental scientist Michael Shellenberger, deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon has declined dramatically over the last 15 years. It remains at one-quarter its 2004 peak when the president of Brazil was Lula da Silva.

Sérgio Moreira Lima is Brazil’s Ambassador to Australia. He explains that Brazil has dramatically reduced deforestation of the Amazon rainforest by 72 percent during the past 15 years and that more than 9.4 million hectares of native forest have been regenerated and planted on a further 2 million hectares.

The ambassador also explains that 66 percent of the entire landscape of Brazil remains entirely covered by native vegetation, and the nation’s protected areas amount to approximately one-quarter of its national territory—and half of the Amazon region.

In the Brazilian Amazon alone, at least 84 percent of the entire landscape remains pristine and untouched. Although the country has preserved more than 66 percent of its native vegetation, the country is still the fourth largest food producer in the world. Brazil is entirely self-sufficient in basic foodstuffs and it ranks as the world’s number one producer of banana, cacao, cassava, coffee, corn, orange, maze, rice, soybean and sugar.

The Supreme Court ruled 6–3 on June 30 that the Clean Air Act doesn’t give the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) widespread power to regulate carbon dioxide emissions that a popular theory says contribute to global warming.

Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the court’s majority opinion (pdf) in West Virginia v. EPA, court file 20-1530. Roberts was joined by the court’s other five conservatives. The court’s three liberal justices dissented.

While “capping carbon dioxide emissions at a level that will force a nationwide transition away from the use of coal to generate electricity may be a sensible ‘solution to the crisis of the day,’” Roberts wrote, quoting a 1992 precedent, “it is not plausible that Congress gave EPA the authority to adopt on its own such a regulatory scheme in Section 111(d)” of the Clean Air Act.

“A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself, or an agency acting pursuant to a clear delegation from that representative body,” he wrote.

West Virginia and 18 other states challenged the authority the Clean Air Act provides the EPA.

In 2016, the Supreme Court overturned the Obama-era Clean Power Plan (CPP), which expanded controls over the industry. Next, the deregulation-minded Trump administration reversed course, easing control on the industry with its Affordable Clean Energy Rule (ACE Rule).

Vague definitions, inconsistent enforcement, and changing rules contribute to this ongoing problem. Despite the confusion, the federal government continues to impose civil and criminal penalties on property owners—even when they cannot know that they are violating the law.
