1. You will need to be using Firefox with the Firebug add-on.
2. Start Firebug.
3. From the My Pipes page click an edit link for one of your pipes.
4. In Firebug go to the Console tab. You should see an item starting "GET http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/ajax.module...". Right-click on that item and select "Copy Response Body".
5. Open up a text editor on your machine and paste the results from step 4 into the editor and save.
6. Copy the file created in 5 to the web.
7. Enter the link to the file saved on the web into this pipe - http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.info?_...
The output from the pipe may include the title of the pipe, a link, a string of tags and a description. This could then be used, for instance, in a spreadsheet by creating a CSV output link for the pipe, saving the CSV to your local machine and then using that as the source for a Google spreadsheet."

The API could be use to create a new interface for Google Sites, to upload files from other sources or to migrate your data. Google's Data Liberation team built a Java application for importing and exporting Google Sites. The application lets you export the pages from a site and all their attachments to a folder. "The folder structure of an exported site is meant to mimic the Sites UI as closely as possible. Thus if exporting to a directory "rootdirectory," a top-level page normally located at webspace/pagename, would be in a file named index.html, located in rootdirectory/pagename. A subpage of that page, normally located at webspace/pagename/subpage, would be in a file named index.html in rootdirectory/pagename/subpage. Attachments are downloaded to the same directory as the index.html page to which they belong."

After some reflection, I realized that this is far truer than I could see at first. git's concepts are not only unusual, they're revolutionary. Come on, revolutionary? It's just a version control system! Actually it's not. Git was originally not a version control system; it was designed to be the infrastructure so that someone else could build one on top. And they did; nowadays there are more than 100 git-* commands installed along with git. It's scary and confusing and weird, but what that means is git is a platform."

Use DirSync Pro to easily synchronize files from your desktop PC to your USB-stick (PDA, Notebook, ...). Use this USB-stick (PDA, Notebook, ...) to synchronize files to another desktop PC. Unlike many other synchronization software, DirSync Pro is Open Source; it is 100% free of charge, 100% free of commercial text, 100% free of advertisements and 100% free of spyware. Programmed completely in platform independent Java so it can be run under nearly every modern operating system including Windows, Linux and Macintosh."
