Office-Reset is a free downloadable tool that you can use to fix problems and errors encountered with Microsoft Office for Mac apps. This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive, Teams and AutoUpdate. The tool can help fix app launch errors, freezes, hangs, crashes, bad plug-ins, corrupt templates, performance issues, and confusing error messages.

You can tell Office-Reset to fix a specific app, or you tell it to perform a 'factory reset' - essentially putting Office back to the same pristine state as when you first installed it. There's also an option to completely start over, where the tool can remove every app, cache, container, preference and keychain entry that Office may have created while it was running.

Office-Reset does not delete your documents and workbooks. The tool doesn't have ads, an upsell, collect your data, or install software that you don't want. It simply runs, fixes, and quits.

Set the autoresponse to the smallest group possible. In many cases you can narrow it down to coworkers, and/or have a different message for people inside your organization than outside your organization.
Only reply to messages that address you specifically in the To: or Cc: field, and only reply to the original sender. This helps prevent loops and extra email.
Only reply once a day per person. Chances are they can remember that for a few hours.
Test it by sending yourself some email from a different account.
Don’t tell people anything more than they need to know. Does everybody really need to know where you’ve gone and how long? Probably not. You’re just gone.
Recommend standardized alternatives if you have them, like “Please contact our Help Desk” or “Email the team list.” The personal relationship you have with your customers may not extend to others on your team, so don’t make assumptions. Besides, with you gone the team may be understaffed and dealing with personal, one-off requests will strain both them and the customer.

The building, by Olson Kundig Architects, is essentially a cast-in-place concrete box, meant to be a strong yet neutral background allowing for the space to be completely flexible. A steel mezzanine was constructed inside the concrete wall on the north side of the box. All internal structures were made with raw, hot-rolled steel sheets.

Sit to do computer work. Sit using a height-adjustable, downward titling keyboard tray for the best work posture, then every 20 minutes stand for 2 minutes AND MOVE. The absolute time isn’t critical but about every 20-30 minutes take a posture break and move for a couple of minutes. Simply standing is insufficient. Movement is important to get blood circulation through the muscles. Research shows that you don’t need to do vigorous exercise (e.g. jumping jacks) to get the benefits, just walking around is sufficient. So build in a pattern of creating greater movement variety in the workplace (e.g. walk to a printer, water fountain, stand for a meeting, take the stairs, walk around the floor, park a bit further away from the building each day).

You turn your camera on your workspace. Please, don’t stage it. Don’t clean it (a messy desk doesn’t make a messy mind). Don’t make it something you or your work is not. Keep it real.

How do you work? What about your lighting? View? Office? At home? Coordinates, please. Clean and tidy? How many hours a day? Sitting? Standing? Coffee cups? Is that tea? Minimalist? Scattered? Type A plus A plus A? A-B? What’s your equation? Creatively sprawled? Feel like you need to tidy up–maybe you shouldn’t. Map it out.

This is a collaborative snapshot of what makes us uniquely us. To an extent, our space reflects what kind of work we produce. Add as much or little to the project as you want. Just participate.

All of this explains why I am so happy to have discovered the GeekDesk. Simply put, it is a traditional two-legged desk frame that uses an electric motor to raise or lower the working surface from 26" to 46.5" and anywhere in-between. It can lift up to 175 pounds, and it rises and falls at 1" per second.

The desk itself is made up of two steel legs connected by a cross bar that contains the electric motor and rack-and-pinion lift mechanism. The top of the desk is screwed on to the legs. GeekDesk sells the legs separately for those interested in attaching their own surface.

There are plenty of fantastic companies worldwide, such as Inspire9, The Frontier Group, eLabs, and Obtiva, who offer up their fantastic working environment to individuals who need a change of scenery or companions. This is fantastic! Unfortunately, until now, it hasn't been easy for individuals to find places like this or to even know that they existed.

This is why we built Desks Near Me. So, start searching for a place to work above, or add a place now!

You may be lazing in a cubicle somewhere or taking calls in a corner office, but we know you've got your own daily challenges. So on behalf of hobos everywhere, we present the Office Worker Hobo Code. With a Sharpie and some Post-Its, you can leave messages for co-workers and make their lives just a little bit easier. we use an "emergency stop"-Button which is connected to an arduino. This arduino sends the string "WTF" on the serial line a little python scrip writes them to a file, another processing app count's the lines in the file and offers the result via http, which is read by a processing app for visualisation ...
