In the early days of the web, pages were made primarily by hobbyists, academics, and computer savvy people about subjects they were personally interested in. Later on, the web became saturated with commercial pages that overcrowded everything else. All the personalized websites are hidden among a pile of commercial pages. Google isn't great at finding them, its focus is on finding answers to technical questions, and it works well; but finding things you didn't know you wanted to know, which was the real joy of web surfing, no longer happens. In addition, many pages today are created using bloated scripts that add slick cosmetic features in order to mask the lack of content available on them. Those pages contribute to the blandness of today's web.

The Wiby search engine is building a web of pages as it was in the earlier days of the internet. In addition, Wiby helps vintage computers to continue browsing the web, as pages indexed are more suitable for their performance.

When you start developing with PHP, you face the problem of deciding which IDE to choose. Most companies sell their IDE's for high prices ($100-$500). We, on the other hand, offer a multifunctional portable IDE absolutely FREE with all these standard features:
PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript highlighting; advanced PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript autocomplete; a powerful PHP debugger; context and dynamic Help; a code validator; a SQL manager and much more...

CodeLobster IDE streamlines and simplifies the PHP development process. You don't need to keep in mind the names of functions, arguments, tags or their attributes -- we've implemented all these for you with autocomplete features for PHP, HTML, JavaScript and even CSS. And you can always get necessary help information by pressing F1 or using the special Help control.

An internal free PHP Debugger allows you to validate your code locally. It automatically detects your current server settings and configures corresponding files in order to let you use the debugger.

Nowadays most sites are developed using various CMS's and frameworks. For their usage we propose our more advanced Professional version.

deadwiki is a Markdown-powered wiki that uses your filesystem as its db. This means you can keep your wiki in a git repository and edit content with your text editor, or read and modify pages with style using its 1990s-era web interface.

There are three built-in ways to access your deadwiki:

Run the local webserver and use the (minimal) HTML UI.
Run a native WebView app that wraps the UI.
Just use your filesystem. Regular Markdown files. cat, ls, etc.

Internet history is important, and content made on platforms such as Adobe Flash make up a significant portion of that culture doomed to obscurity. This project is dedicated to preserving as many games and animations from these platforms as possible, so that they aren't lost to time. Since early 2018, over a hundred contributors have helped Flashpoint save more than 38,000 games and 2,400 animations running on 13 different platforms.

Flashpoint utilizes a strong selection of open-source software. Our custom-built launcher handles the constantly-growing collection efficiently and works in conjunction with the Redirector, which does a massive amount of service by making web content pretend it's on the internet. Learn more about Flashpoint by using the links at the top of the page.

This protects you from nearly all web-based hacks, such as viruses, ransomware, browser and device zero day exploits, and also helps protect you from tracking, by changing your device fingerprint and IP address.

In more detail, the browser, normally is an executable application that runs on your device (phone, laptop).
