You're still better off with it – or one of its forks, because this is FOSS – than pretty much any of the alternatives. if you want to ensure no site works in Firefox, definitely make devs install a special version. The reason most things still work in Firefox is because many web devs still use it as their day-to-day browser. If it wasn't for that, nobody would care. And the presence of the development tools mean if you spot something going wrong, you can only up the tools and inspect it there and then.
